Our kilns use the latest Ecombustion and control technology to fire technical ceramics with optimal temperature uniformity and atmosphere conditions to ensure consistent products with uniform specifications.

NUTEC Bickley has been a trendsetter in this particular branch of the ceramic industry and brings its in-depth design, combustion system and manufacturing expertise to offer customers the highest performance kilns for these demanding products. At their heart, our specialist kilns for technical ceramics include many of the features first pioneered by the company. NUTEC Bickley has worked with world-leading companies to help advance their technical ceramics production, maintaining close firing control, excellent product quality, and fuel efficient operations.

Key Features

Firing temperatures up to 1,800°C (3,270°F)

Excellent temperature uniformity

Ecombustion control system

Fiber-lined sections using our patented Jointless® system (completely free of joints; reduced maintenance and shrinkage) or brick-lined kilns with interlocking bricks

SCADA systems for ease of operation and product quality management

Integrated car handling systems

Power failure protection system

Energy recovery systems to ensure the lowest fuel consumption

Incineration systems/afterburners

Processes

Firing/Calcining/Sintering: High-temperature heating is used to force chemical reactions to form stable ceramic bonds within the technical ceramic. If temperatures and conditions are uniform, then the fired product will be very consistent and will have tight size specification tolerances.

Technology

SCADA

With our SCADA systems, kilns operators are able to have complete control of their firing process, enhancing efficiency and productivity.

IMPS™

NUTEC Bickley’s unique firing and cooling pulsing control system provides a perfect solution in relation to temperature uniformity as well as fuel efficiency.
