Curing and Drying

Definition

Curing and drying ovens are heated chambers used for a wide range of industrial applications, which include curing, baking, or drying parts, components, or final products. These ovens can be used for small as well as large volume applications, either in batches or continually with a conveyor line, and over a wide range of temperature, sizes as well as configurations.

How does Curing and Drying work?

Curing ovens create a chemical reaction in a material after a particular temperature is reached. Different definitions for curing provide diverse viewpoints on the procedure. The curing is a process of preparing or finishing a material by chemical or physical process. The main objective of a curing oven is to cure a coating, product, or some adhesive.

Drying ovens are high-tech equipment that are designed for moisture extraction. These equipment find large uses in industrial and laboratory settings. Also, referred as dryers, these equipment are available in a wide range of designs, specifications, and capabilities. The complexity of these ovens will depend on their functionality, utilization, as well as designs.

Processes and Applications

We design and manufacture curing and drying ovens to achieve the highest standards demanded by the relevant end-user industries. The company supplies equipment for paint drying/curing, varnish curing, sealant drying, sand core drying and other sectors, offering a broad range of load configurations to meet all customer requirements.

Motor / Transformer Curing

NUTEC Bickley’s ovens for motor and transformer curing applications are offered as walk-in, box, roller hearth, wire mesh conveyor, and in other designs. We design the forced convection system with an optimal arrangement to improve air circulation through the load configuration, and we make sure we have the appropriate exhaust capacity to meet NFPA 86 requirements. Gas-fired and electrically heated systems can be offered.

Paint Drying / Curing

NUTEC Bickley ovens for liquid or powder paint drying and curing applications are offered as walk-in, box, overhead/wire mesh conveyor, and in other designs. We design the forced convection system with optimal arrangement to improve air circulation through the load configuration, and we make sure we have the appropriate exhaust capacity to meet NFPA 86 requirements. Gas-fired and electrically heated systems can be offered.

Foundry Sand Core Drying

NUTEC Bickley sand core drying ovens are offered as walk-in, box, continuous or semi-continuous conveyor type, and in other designs. We design the forced convection system with optimal arrangement to achieve the best possible air circulation and distribution through the load configuration to improve drying times. Gas-fired and electrically heated systems can be offered.
