The Challenge
Our customer needed to replace older heat treating equipment with high maintenance demands. The company was looking for a supplier who could deliver a turnkey solution for heat treating aluminum forgings, including quenching. Supply scope would include design, manufacturing, delivery and installation of the equipment at the facility.
Our Solution
We proposed a semi-continuous heat treating line consisting of loading conveyors, roller hearth solution heat treating furnace, water quench tank with heating and cooling systems, and unloading conveyors. When it came to the layout, we kept in mind a future investment for a roller hearth oven for aging, to complement this project.
With this project we were able to provide a more reliable, state of the art, heat treating line that met the client's needs.

Equipment & Technology
We supplied roller conveyors with indexing rack loading and continuous rolling movement inside the furnace.
- High velocity recirculation convection system to ensure optimum temperature uniformity
- Combustion equipment meeting the stringent California pollution control regulations

- An indirect fired heating and cooling tower system for the quench tank
